KanSched 2 is being phased out. Please use KanSched3 as an online tool.
KanSched 2.0 is a program that is designed to help monitor the root zone soil profile water balance using evapotranspiration (ET) data. ET-based irrigation scheduling is a tool that can help you determine when and how much irrigation water to apply. This allows the irrigation manager to schedule the irrigation events to the match current field conditions. The basic process involves using data on crop water use (crop evapotranspiration or ETc), rainfall, and soil water storage to assess when an irrigation event is needed and how much water could be applied. The program can also be used to monitor the soil profile water content of non-irrigated fields.
